We can’t wait to meet your family!

Though you can learn a lot about our school through the robust resources on our website (be sure to put the search bar to use), our full slate of events and visits offers opportunities to experience our community firsthand.

Admissions season is a busy time for families so please review the options below and choose the events that will be most beneficial for you in your decision-making process. Except where noted, events are optional and attendance is not required to complete your application or to be admitted to Menlo. Registration is always required and space is limited. Additional admissions events and school events open to prospective families will be shared via our newsletter throughout the season. Parent Information Sessions

Join us for a convenient online or in-person orientation to all things Menlo. Parents/guardians will hear about our academic, athletic, and arts programs and our community culture. In-person events will include an optional tour of our campus. Registration is required. 

Stent Family Hall on the Menlo Campus Preview Day: Meet Menlo

Weekend Preview Days in Fall 2025 will allow applicants and their parents/guardians to hear from students, teachers, and administrators and understand exactly how we inspire students to lead lives of meaning, impact, and joy. This event is a great way to receive a comprehensive overview of our school and values while connecting in person with the community. To register for a Preview Day event, please first complete your pre-application form and submit the application fee or a fee waiver code. Note that application fees are non-refundable. Registration is required.

 

6th Grade Student Experience & Interview (Required)

All 6th grade applicants will participate in an on-campus visit at Menlo. Visit dates are available on a rolling basis from late September through mid-October and in December. Please note that no 6th grade visits are scheduled for November. Each visit typically includes a group activity, lunch, and a small group interview. Students should dress casually, as visits are designed to be relaxed, informative, and enjoyable.

To register for a Middle School Student Visit and Interview, please first complete your pre-application form and submit the application fee or a fee waiver code. Note that application fees are non-refundable. Registration is required.

Applicants to the 9th Grade are invited to visit Menlo’s campus, experience our approach to academics, tour the campus, and learn about the multitude of co-curricular opportunities we offer while connecting with current students over lunch. Your journey to Menlo starts with picturing yourself on our beautiful campus with our engaged community. To register for an Upper School Student Visit, please first complete your pre-application form and submit the application fee or a fee waiver code. Note that application fees are non-refundable. Registration is required.

Interviews for the Upper School are one-on-one and over the course of 15-20 minutes. We hope to learn more about you as a person and how you might engage as a member of the Menlo community. This is also an important opportunity to ask questions and learn more about Menlo. Dress is casual, and the format is conversational and relaxed. You can choose a virtual or in-person appointment (whichever is best for you). In-person interviews are conducted on the day of the Student Visit. At the 2024 Valpo Bowl, the Knights defeated the Gators while the Sea of Gold and Menlo Dance Team brough the spirit. In-Person Events & Online Panels

One of the best ways to experience our vibrant school community is by joining us for our athletic games and arts events! We invite prospective families to attend events like the Valpo Bowl and captivating drama, dance, and music performances at the Spieker Center for the Arts. This admissions season, the Admissions Office will offer a limited number of free tickets to these special events. 

Student panels featuring current students and recent alumni, along with webinars about the admissions process, financial aid, and unique programs like Menlo Abroad, have been key highlights of our online offerings.

Affinity-Based Admissions Gatherings

Join us for an extraordinary evening of connection, celebration, and conversation. Our affinity-based events for prospective parents, guardians, and their families offer an opportunity to learn more about the Menlo experience through intimate roundtable discussions with current parents, faculty, and staff, as well as a panel featuring current parents—all while enjoying a catered dinner and refreshments.
