Submit Your New Student Form: Complete this formby Tuesday, April 14.
Mark your Calendars: Sixth Grade Welcome Event Tuesday, May 5, 4:30-6:00 pm*. This event is the first opportunity to meet new classmates and families, have your photo taken for the Knightbook student directory, hear from our Head of School, Than Healy, Middle School Director, La Vina Lowery, and other important members of our community. Students will also meet the 6th grade faculty and advocacies. *Photos for the Knightbook will be taken before the event, beginning at 4:00 pm, as well as after the event.Please sign up for a photo time slothere.

Getting your class schedule.
This email provides detailed information about our world languages program. Please indicate your world language first and second choices on this form by May 10.Watch this video to learn about our language programs.
In early August, be on the lookout for an email with details on getting your full class schedule.
Optional: If your child has a diagnosed or suspected learning difference or if you’d like to learn more about learning support at Menlo, we invite you to attend an informational Zoom meeting with our Learning Support team on Wednesday, May 15, 6:00-7:00 pm.

Submit your forms for the 6th Grade Outdoor Education Overnight
On the first day of school, August 22, the entire sixth grade class departs for an outdoor education overnight. You can see the details and permission forms here. Please sign and return the forms by Friday, August 9, by scanning and emailing them to Shanel Daines, Sixth Grade Team Lead, or by dropping them off at the Middle School Office.

Summer reading assignments and teacher instructions are available here. More information about other texts for fall courses will be available through the Menlo Booklist, which will be sent to you the first week of August when schedules are announced.
Starting June 15, visit Keokit.com to view the Middle School supply list for the year. You can order everything there, or you can view the list and shop elsewhere.
By August 26, sixth graders will need an Apple MacBook laptop with MacOS 14 (“Sonoma”) or newer. We strongly recommend the 13-inch MacBook Air with at least 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Learn more about technology in the Middle School.
Make sure you submit your immunization record and health information.
You should receive an email from August Schools Student Medical Record, our partner in collecting and managing student medical information, sometime in late May or early June. Complete the online form with your medical information, including immunizations* (do not send records to Menlo). Please do this before August 1—you can’t come to school without it! If you do not receive an email from August Schools by June 10, please contact the school nurse.
*Note: Menlo School no longer requires Covid vaccination, but it is encouraged. Questions? Contact thehealth office.

In June, watch for a couple of emails from us: a newsletter (we call this “zipNotes”) with all the information you’ll need for the summer, and information from our Tech team about setting up your child’s Menlo email
In early August, watch for an email about setting up the parent login and another that includes all the information you’ll need for the start of school.
To make sure Menlo emails don’t end up in your spam folder, add donotreply@menloschool.org to your list of contacts and/or approved senders.
Get your Menlo spirit gear! Swing by the kiosk in the Athletic Center between 1:00-3:30 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday or by appointment. For questions or to schedule an appointment, contactDonna Okino. The Campus Store will be closed for the summer starting June 7, 2024.

How will you GO MENLO? Check out transportation options.
How you Go Menlo matters! Menlo has an agreement with the Town of Atherton to limit traffic coming to campus during peak drop-off and pick-up times. Help us meet this goal and reduce our environmental impact by walking, biking, carpooling, or riding the train or bus. Learn more about Menlo’s bus transportation program and start thinking about how you’ll get to school. This summer, we’ll communicate more transportation information, including sign-up details, bus and shuttle times, and a carpool map so you can see who lives in your neighborhood.
