Check out the Volunteer Opportunities and visit the Menlo School Parent Association (MSPA) webpage to explore how you can get involved in our parent community.
Search: Type a phrase directly into the search box in the top right of any page. Typing in faculty/staff names will bring you to their profile (e.g., enter “math” to see links to math department).
Looking for an event? Go to the online calendar (one of the links in the main navigation). You can choose which categories of events to see by clicking “filter by category”. Additionally, you can search for certain events in the search box (e.g., searching “12th” will bring up twelfth grade events). Click on “Subscribe to Calendars” to import into iCal or Google Calendar.
Menlo on the go! Open Menlo’s website in your smart phone’s web browser and simply bookmark to your phone’s home page. You’ll have access to the directory, the calendar and many other features.

Below are the key dates related to the end-of-year activities and events - please read carefully!
Last Day of Classes for Seniors Friday, May 12
Life Beyond Menlo Tuesday, May 16-Friday, June 2 (approx. 10:00 am-2:00/2:30 pm) At the conclusion of their formal academic program, seniors will participate in a variety of fun workshops designed to help them prepare for their next steps in life. Possible topics will include personal finance, car maintenance, college life, resume building, field trips, cooking lessons, and exposure to the world of work and internships. Each Monday (5/15, 5/22, and 5/29) of the three-week program of Life Beyond Menlo is a day off for seniors; however, on the first Monday (5/15), we are offering an optional field trip to Land’s End Trail with Ms. Ramsey for those who are interested.
Spring Retreat Day Friday, May 26, 9:00 am-2:00 pm A day for an “Amazing Race,” fun, and food! The students will be transported to San Francisco’s Pier 39 for the day. Details will be mailed separately with a permission slip as well. Please see the details here and complete the permission slip. (These will also be emailed to you soon.)
Senior Show (for students/parents/faculty) Friday, June 2, 12:45 pm, Main Gym Seniors will create a show representing the class’s character and spirit. It will include student performances, presentations, and a celebratory farewell from the entire class to the school. Seniors will plan and rehearse for the Show in the afternoons during Life Beyond Menlo events from May 16-June 1.
Day on the Green (for all students) Friday, June 2, 2:00-4:00 pm This gathering is an opportunity to sign yearbooks and begin saying farewell to Menlo.
Senior Celebration(for parents/seniors/select faculty) Friday, June 2, 5:00-7:00 pm This event is for seniors and their parents to celebrate the Class of 2023. It features a commemorative video, the Senior Show, and an appetizer reception.
Senior Day (for seniors) Monday, June 5, 10:00 am-2:00 pm Seniors enjoy time together as they prepare for commencement. This is the day to decorate graduation caps, sign yearbooks, hear some words of wisdom from Than and John, and receive important commencement instructions. All Seniors should attend because they will be doing a rehearsal for commencement.
Senior Hang Out (for seniors) Monday, June 5, 3:00-6:00 pm Following Menlo’s Senior Day activities, seniors will gather at the home of a Menlo family. The Senior Parent Team hosts this event. Look for an invitation in May.
Pre-Commencement Grad and Family Photos(optional) Wednesday, June 7, TBD StillLight Photography will offer optional on-campus photo sessions for seniors. Information to come.
Commencement (for families, friends, students, faculty) Thursday, June 8, 9:30-11:30 am At our official graduation ceremony, seniors will hear from speakers, receive their diplomas, and celebrate their graduation from Menlo. A short reception on campus follows the ceremony. Every family can come early to reserve their seats on the morning of commencement.
Grad Night (for new grads) Thursday, June 8, 6:00 pm-12:00 am This is the last hurrah for the Class of 2023. This fun evening will take place at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Graduates have one last chance to hang out together as a class. Look for more information in early May.
